Draught at Delirium, Brussels. Dark and dried fruits, plum, dried fig, chocolate in the nose. Dark malt flavors, chocolate, dried fruits. Nicely roasted and well-balanced, though not as wonderful as their lighter colored beers.

Huge brown head. Hazy deep brown body. Light grainy caramelly aroma with spicy licorice notes. Dry-sweet grainy spicy licorice taste with chocolate and sugary toffee notes. Light body. Mild mouthfeel. Dry burnt peppery licorice aftertaste with strawy, sugar puff notes. (0.25l draft at Delirium Cafe, Brussels. Later 0.75l bottle at home.)

On tap, shared with Finn at Delirium Café, Brussels. Tiny, fawn coloured head. Cloudy, dark brown body. Aromatic with chocolate malts mixed with fruits. Coffee and chocolate malts in flavour followed by herbal hops and a bittersweet finish. Well balanced brew that drinks well (Brussel, 07.05.2011).

(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, dark brown colour with a beige and short foamy layer. Sweet toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, a slightly vinous fruity touch and hints of alcohol. Sweet and shy roasty bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark and slightly toasted malt character with caramel, bready notes and a tinge of dried fruits; sweet and slightly toasty malty finish with traces of dried fruits in the aftertaste. 02.III.11

Bottle: Slightly hazy, amber coloured, stable creamy off-white head; modest caramelly-fruity nose; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, quite soft; short sourish-malty finish. O.K. , but ......

Colabrown beer with medium and blond head. Aroma is roasted, some dry spicyness and hints of fruits; different aroma than I expected, no dark fruits. Taste is similar than aroma, roastiness, malts, some drying spicyness. Almost dry, but some toffeeish sweetness in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, slippery to drink, medim carbonation but it soft. Quite dry, "easy" belgian ale; not a top-quality beer, but otherwise, there are nothing to complain.

(Bottle, 0.75 l, at Olutkellari Helsinki) The beer poured as dark brown and hazy. Head was really small. Aroma was quite sweet and also raisiny and malty. Palate was medium bodied. The flavours were malts, molasses, wort, chocolate and bitterness. Aftertaste was really malty and bit roasty. This beer could have been better but especially the wort in the taste wasn’t pleasing.

On tap at Akkurat, Februari 12 2010. Dark brown with a small beige head. Malty aroma with caramel, spices and dark berries. Quite sweet and spicy taste with something that I could not quite put my finger on. Some kind of chewing gum? Carbonation was low and the aftertaste long. Drinkable but nothing spectacular.
