Naissance et renaissance ! Brassée pour la première fois en 2001, sans imaginer à l’avance ce qu’elle serait, elle ne fut pas au goût de son brasseur. Changement de la recette et des ingrédients, rien n’y fit : elle ne lui plaisait toujours pas. Elle faillit être abandonnée… L’idée de la rendre plus stout que brune et plus sèche que ronde, a fait qu’elle est aujourd’hui sa préférée.

750 ml bottle. Pours a very dar brown with medium head. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel. Taste is similar though not strong with a dry, almost powdery, bitter finish. Lots of carbonation.

Fra flaske på Cardinal: tydelig humlearoma ( mer enn det man ofte forbinder med belg.brune, har de brukt amarillo?). God kandissmak uten at det blir for søtt.

Dark brown colour with a beige head. Mild and nice caramel, and a light fruity aroma. Mild and tasty flavour. Caramel, cocolate and light fruity.

750 ml capped green bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Fairly dark brown colour, large beige head. Nice aroma of brown malts and mild spices, fresh brown bread, some caramel and brown kandij sugar. The flavour has notes of the same elements as the aroma, but is not very sweet. Low bitterness. Relatively light bodied, and very drinkable.

Draught (Delirium Cafe, Brussels) - Dark brown with red tinges. Dried fruit, roasted malt and hops in the aroma. Fruity, roasted and chocolatey taste with notes of nuts, raisins and fruitcake. Full-bodied and tasty.

Cloudy dark brown beer. Light crispy palate. Light milk chocolate malt with a trace of fruit coming through before more chocolate malt in the finish. Nice. A good sessionable Brune.

Draft @ Delirium. Brune claire, col épais beige. Arôme malté léger avec bouquet cara/choco et un léger côté houblonné fruité. En bouche, bière au profile mettant en avant un malt grillé avec subtile pointe de noisette quasi biscuité et un fini sec. Note de levure, un houblon fruité dans le côté citron et pamplemousse rajoute une amertume agréable.

Fra fat på Delirium Café i Brussel 7 Mai 11. Delt med Rune. Mørkebrun. Lavt skum. God fruktig aroma. Kaffepreg. Litt uvariert - men god. Toner ut med en forsiktig søt kaffesmak.

0.75l bottle shared with ClubGonzo and InBreak. This one pours a dark dark reddish brown body with a massive and fluffy off-white head and some big grey sediments. The aroma is really low and anonymous. Hints of some yeast with some fruits and perhaps some mild chocolate-hints as well. Soft carbonation, medium-bodied and the mouthfeel is mild, smooth and light creamy. Flavors are first soft and fruity. There's hints of thin coffee, chocolate malts and cookies. Quite unique, interesting and different stuff this one, but I kinda liked it.
