Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy, dark yellow. Halo of white head. Lemon rind. Sawn wood. Wine sediment. A bit funky. A bit sour. Taste is dry, with an element of fruity sweetness. Very light sour. Soft, refreshing palate. Finishes light sweet. Light tart. Mostly dry. Super drinkable.

Bottle from Mother Arch, drank on the train to Twickenham, 20/12/14. Orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is red grapefruit, woody, straw, earthy hops, apricot. Taste comprises light passionfruit notes, red grapes, grassy, earthy hop, citric tinged straw, woody licks. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, red berry licks and red wine vibes in the close. Solid blend.

Bottle from Pig’s Ear. It pours lightly hazy pale gold with a decent white head. The nose is soft, juicy grape, sherbet, apple, gooseberry, pear, light lactic notes, vinous and wood. The taste is soft, tart, juicy, grape, sour apple, pear, straw, dough, just a touch of acidity, lactic, dry wood, floral, light spice and lemon rind with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Delicate, yet has a nice depth to it. Very drinkable indeed.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Vini, Birre, Ribelli 2014 as “Bière De Saison”. Golden citrus with no head. Nose is citrus, lemon candy, sweet, near spirit; Taste is lots of lemon, touch lemon drops sourness, light herbal, vanilla oak, light herbal. Sourness is only mild compared with the sweetness. A mixed marriage.
