Big dark brown head. Opaque black body. Milky roasty aroma with sooty notes. Dryish roasty burnt sooty taste with spicy pine needle notes. Mid-to-full body. Sharpish, slightly hot mouthfeel. Dryish roasty chocolatey mineraly aftertaste with grape, earth and spice notes. Thereβs a really odd note in the aftertaste that suddenly pops out and goes "BUTTERY TOFFEE", then abruptly disappears into nothing. Lingering roasty spicy salty notes. Nice, drinkable, but perhaps a bit insistent. Iβd like this more at 7%. (0.33l bottle, from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

Leighton 10K tasting at Bruceβs pad. Thanks to Mr 10K. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is softish and airy. Very fine carbonation. The dark malts are not too heavy but are tangy and carry a little bitter coffee. Touch of red berry fruits. Mild pine. Light dry finish with a mild bitter linger. All right!

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, citrus fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, citrusy hops, and roasted malt, leading to a bitter finish.
