A black, some red on the edge of the glass, a head is small and dark brown. Aroma is quite sweet but enjoyable. Liquirice, dark and rich fruitness and strawberries, vanilla, some chocolate, coffee and salt liquirice. Taste has strong fruitness of grapes, some liquirice, roasted coffee in the end. The fruitful barrel is slightly too dominating. Not so sweet as the aroma. Full bodied, low carbonation, not sticky. The great aroma, otherwise not so balanced. Quite unique beer with its fruitness.

Farewell Jack bottleshare at Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks to Daniel for this heavyweight. Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is slightly viscous. Modest fine carbonation. Fairly mellow dark malts, but tangy. Mild spice. Tangy dark fruits and well integrated mild sherry. Generally hides the abv well.

Bottle thanks to Dan. it pours pretty much black with a tiny beige head. The nose is rather soft, rocky road vibe, wood, leather, plenty of jammy fruits, sweet sherry, blackcurrant, plum and Vimto. The taste is rich, woody, obvious Pedro Ximenez character, port wine oily, jammy blackcurrant, blueberry, raspberry, touch of marmite and some astringency with a slick, sweetish finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Very jammy and sweet. Good fun, but a bit much perhaps.

250 ml bottle from Saveur Bière.
Black body, with a small, quickly dissipating, dense, dark brown head.
Complex aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa, dark and dried fruits, sherry, vanilla, barrel, some booze.
Taste is pretty sweet and complex, with sherry, dried fruits, vanilla, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, barrel, some tobacco, some liquorice.
Full, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes smooth, roasty, quite dry, a bit sweet, with coffee, cocoa, tobacco, sherry, wood, subtle alcohol warmth.

Tasty. Really surprising how well hidden the quite extreme ABV is, drinks very smooth. Overall a bit too sweet for my taste though, but still a big, complex and unique Imperial Stout.

250 ml. bottle split with Kraddel. BBF 12/2018. Black, small mocha head. Smell is spectacular, hugely sweet hazelnut puree with chocolate truffle, huge vanilla & chocolate mousse, faint barrel,… Taste is quite different & took a bit getting used to, quite acidic, strongly vinous, more tart than I have ever known sherry to be with chocolate truffle, chocolate mousse, faint roasted oak, thick vanilla, hazelnut, sour acidic character is everywhere, not very complex but very unique beer,… Very creamy,… Unique & highly delicious even if it takes a bit getting used to at first.

Thnx to Ships ! Pours pure black, small mocha head.Smell is coffee, oat, intense dark malts. bit dark chocolate. Very pure, and very intense. Very rich as well. Taste is sharp, very pure roasted grains. Some mild sour aspect, as well as bitterness. I think about umami, but I guess I dont know that taste well enough to really say it is so. Very intense, and it has a thick MF and good carbo. Mild dryness, some wood aspect. Bit booze, but certainly not too much, given the ABV. Good beer, I guess others will enjoy this more than me.

Bottle. Black motoroil, small brown head. Rich aroma of dark fruit, sherry booze, cherry and oaky vanilla. Full thicky mouthfeel. Strong taste of boozy cherry, vanilla, red fruit, smoke, little peat and a slight sourness. What an amazing beer. Truly delicious.
