Aroma: roasted malt and slight dried fruits. Flavour: Roasted malt, coffee and sweet fruit. Aftertaste is bitter and malty. Colour: very dark brown with a tan head.

500ml bottle from Iceland - dark black body, thick tan top. Nose has all the key elements in a traditional stout, roasty, burnt, coffee grinds. Taste has a nice bitterness to it, robust and malty.

Ombord på Fridtjofen, på slipp på Tau, flaske (fra trade med Sigmund) delt med skibsrederen: brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Liflige toner av mørkrøstet malt og nybrente kaffebønner a la Vedvik. Snaddersmak og særdeles velfortjent (synes vi naturligvis) etter en lang dag med rustpikking og vasking. Meget velsmakende på soldekket, og arbeidslysten svinner like raskt som glasset tømmes. Sjokoladestreif i den gode ettersmaken.

Bottle shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen at Tau slipp og båtbyggeri 01.09.17. Ebony. Pale brown head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of freshly roasted coffe, roasted malt, wood and pine and hops. Bitterness and roasted coffe is lingering on. Very quaffable!

Kinda modest foamy head with a light brown colour, and a good dark brown body, oh yeah. Dark caramel aroma, some sugariness, graham cracker in small doses. Flavour is chocolatey barley,. Crisp finish. Nice and drinkable, well made but simple.

Botella y caña tomada en varias ocasiones. Ultima en el Bariloche Valladolid 10..04..2018. Color negro intenso con espuma beige. Sabores maltosos ligeramente tostados y ahumados caramelizados suaves. Cuerpo ligero facil de beber. Normal.

KeyKeg at the Ale Taster, St Neots. Very dark brown bordering on black. A nice cream-coloured head on top. Strong liquorice aroma with dark malt. Taste is still liquorice-heavy with a sweet spicy flavour and a more bitter balanced finish. The soft gentle carbonation gives depth to the body. Very drinkable Irish stout.

Deep dark brown colour, tall macropore soapy tan head, dissipates slow and uneven, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malts, cocoa, espresso, liquorice. Taste medium sweet and bitter, roastey, malty, dark chocolate, coffee roast. Dry sweetbitter roasty finish, light spicy notes. Medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, pleasant dry stout.
