This was an exciting collaborative brew with our dear friends at To Øl Brewery based in Denmark. A rich and robust imperial porter served as the canvas for over 120 gallons local wildflower honey. After resting in bourbon barrels for over a year, this beer drinks like a sweet digestif with notes of honey, oak, baker’s chocolate, and bourbon barrel.

Bottle picked up from Beer Gonzo Webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry (I think) consumed at Hilton Hotel, Munich Airport, Friday 7th September 2018. Pours blac, really pitch black, barely any head noticed unless it just departed quickly. Lots of bourbon in the mouth but also on the nose. Sweet, too sweet, but it's smooth. A light roasty edge, some caramel and chocolate but bourbon again forcing its way to the front. A good beer, not amazing but very good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Draft at beertemple. Aroma of delicious bourbon vanilla, caramel fudge, cherry, honey, chocolate and oak. Taste of smooth bourbon vanilla, caramel fudge, chocolate, cherry, honey and a long delicious finish. Very nice.

Sampled from bottle thanks to Caesar. Opaque pitch black color, small off-white head. Smell and taste milk chocolate, cocoa powder, liquor, raisins. Heavy but good.

Bottle @ Mikkeller Bar, Odense. Pours Black with a creamy beige head. Roasted nose with notes of charcoal, coffee, vanilla and bourbon. Lovely Complex barrel. Vanilla, Wood, coffee. Slick and Smooth. Dope.

Keg at Cask Pub n Kitchen. Pours black with a laced off white head. Aroma is boozy bourbon, honey, molasses, coconut, chocolate and a little coffee. Taste is a lovely chocolate, marshmallow and coconut cuddle with a little honey on the end. A little booze burn just takes off the sweetness. Cracking Impy.

Bottle @Caesar's Mancave tasting, shared with Benzai, black with a fine brown head. aroma of bourbon, malts, chocolate, sweet, roasted. Taste lovely bourbon, roasted, dark malts, chocolate, cacao, heavy, sweet, very nice.

(375ml bottle from boxbeers.dk) Pours black with a small dark tan head and no lace Aroma of raisins, prunes, bittersweet chocolate, honey, bourbon, charred oak, slightly nutty toast. Flavour is rich, sweet and honey-drenched, golden raisins and dried pale fruits, nutty toasty char, soft to moderate chocolate, bourbon is well-integrated and supportive rather than hot and spirit-style, there's some vanilla/coconut roundness towards the finish. Light hint of alcohol in the long honeyed finish. Medium bodied, a little sticky, with quite soft carbonation. Very nice flavours, rather too sweet after even half a bottle so the drinkability is a little limited despite the tastiness.

Bottle, 12%. Very dark brown with tiny head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, honey, bourbon, oak, caramel and bread. Flavour is roasted malt, very sweet, honey, sugar, bread, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon and warming.

Dark pour with a fine-grained tan head. Notes of bourbon, vanilla, honey, sweet chocolate.
