Imperial Porter brewed with honey and aged in bourbon barrels
This was an exciting collaborative brew with our dear friends at To Øl Brewery based in Denmark. A rich and robust imperial porter served as the canvas for over 120 gallons local wildflower honey. After resting in bourbon barrels for over a year, this beer drinks like a sweet digestif with notes of honey, oak, baker’s chocolate, and bourbon barrel.

Half-pint at Brewer's Republic. Pours black, with a small, tan head. The aroma is chocolate brownies, toffee, vanilla, black cherries, and bread dough. Sweet and malty, with a light, lovely bitterness. Heavy body, with a creamy, silky, and smooth mouthfeel. This is a wonderfully done, decadent, and balanced porter.

Draught @ Muted Horn, Berlin. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small tan head. Clear aroma of chocolate, barrel and malt, with hints of yeast. Sweetish flavour of malt, chocolate, lactose and barrel, with notes of yeast and roast. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with malty and estery hints. Warming alcohol presence, leaving tracesvof bitterness. Nice work.

Keg at CBC Covent Gilesborn, 10/10/18. Light black with a decent tan head that dissipate to a swirl. Nose is dusty fruits, bourbon rinse, spice, dark chocolate, light charr. Taste comprises brown sugar melt, coconut shreds, chocolate, light spice, well integrated bourbon, dried fruits, mellow roast. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced alcohol drinking below the stated ABV. Solid impy.

Craft TCR. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft. Decent fine carbonation. Someone took some Bounty Bars and a few squares of Bournville dark chocolate and blended it with an exceptionally smooth and fruity bourbon. No alcohol spics or heat here. Smooth light finish brings more liquid bounty bar. Shows almost zero sign of the abv. Exceptional. Delicious.
