One of our ‘terroir’ beers, brewed with Gentian roots, traditionally used for a local liqueur, added at the very end of the boil. The aromas are peppery, earthy and floral. The mouthfeel is firstly of honey flavors then earthy, peppery and yellow fruits. The finish is delicate and long lasting.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours an almost clear body, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. Lightly spiced, licorice-like aroma with pale malts and some sugary notes, dried fruits and a hint of something honey like. It’s smooth on the palate, slightly flat, with flavors of pale malts, sugar, spices and some licorice. A quite tasteful beer that I wouldn’t mind drinking again. 120218

bottle at home ... copper ... thin lacing ... soft fruit hop ... light floral hop nose ... little over fizzy ... little vegative ... sweet hop ... little fruits ... big bitter flower in linger ... there no doubt about the flower being in there ... its quite unusual ... and quite bitter ... but a different bitterness ... i quite like this.

2012-05-11, bottle at Danske Ølentusiasters Ølfestival 2012, Copenhagen, 6-3-6-3-13=31
Blond color. Moderate aroma of malt, with a light herbal touch and pepper. Soft mouthfeel, some malt flavor, moderate sweetness, very light herbal feeling. The genziana is not really evident. But it's still a good Ale.
2010-06-05, RBESG 2010, draught at Open Baladin, 7-4-7-3-15=36
Golden color. Nice hop aroma, with just light herbs. Good body, malty, sweet; it has just a light herbal touch, not necessarily gentiane. Correct bitterness. Good.
