[2017-11-01] New design bottle, thought was something else. Tasted again, dark black with reddish-brown glare, short creamy brown head. First impact is yucky, minerals, wet cardboard and cornflakes, oats. Opens up a bit better with dark malts, licorice, some coffee and chocolate, wood. Taste quite sweet. Body unexpectedly thin, finish is muddy.

[2011-06-18] 0.33 bottle, 7.7%, 1.77€. Thick black body with red hues, moderate caffè-latte brown head. Light chocolate nose. Aroma of grains, roasted malts and coffee. Balanced bitter\sweet, low carbonation. Slick palate, thick, full body. Dry, bitter, ash\smokey finish. 6 3 6 3 12

Gelungen! 12/11/10/10/9/11

Bottle: Black with ruby sparks, smaller persistent beige head; sweet toasty nose, including traces of liquorice and dried brambles; solid sweet-bitter flavour, quite full bodied; molasses (or liquorice) in the slight drier bitter sweet finish, liquorice in the aftertaste. Not bad, but a tad too sweet......

01/08 0.33 l bottle from Interspar, Udine. It poured brown to black body with medium sized and compact brown head. Relatively boring roasted malt in aroma. Coffee, some sugar and caramel flavor, fine and quite full bodied. Sweetish and not so much coffee overwhelming as most of the porters. Alcohol is nicely hidden, just some notes felt in the finish, which is pleasantly sweetish and long. Fine beer.

bottle 2008, best before 27.05.2013 (but it didn’t last that long heh) appears brown, looks a bit watery, perhaps due to coloring. small creamy yellow head. aroma : licorice, chocolate, a little hops. a little roasted stuff. flavor is coffee, caramel, slight roasted stuff, alc. (alc. too present imo), aftertaste is very nice, composed of brown sugar and roasted stuff. aftertaste lingers for long. fine cheap macro porter.
