bottle 2008, best before 27.05.2013 (but it didn’t last that long heh) appears brown, looks a bit watery, perhaps due to coloring. small creamy yellow head. aroma : licorice, chocolate, a little hops. a little roasted stuff. flavor is coffee, caramel, slight roasted stuff, alc. (alc. too present imo), aftertaste is very nice, composed of brown sugar and roasted stuff. aftertaste lingers for long. fine cheap macro porter.

Re-rate 8/13/13: Bottle sample at a tasting at Arielβs place. Thanks avrashi. Dark brown to black-colored. Aroma has a bit of dark fruits, light roastiness, a bit of molasses and light olive hints. Sweetish flavor with some chocolate and coffee hints and a drier finish with some roastiness. Medium-bodied., 5/3/6/3/13=3
2006 bottle (thanks a lot Dedollewaitor!). Black-colored with a small light brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, some dark fruits and alcohol hints. Flavor is rather dry but with some sweet tones with roasted malt and a bit of dark chocolate, licorice and a rather unpleasant bitter finish with some alcohol and metal. Medium-bodied. Not enough character to make a good Baltic Porter. Not too enjoyable. 7/4/5/2/11=2.9

33 cL bottle. Pours black with a creamy chocolate looking brown head leaving some lacing. Thick dark malty aroma with a fruity note , although not sweet, minor notes of coffee and chocolate. Sweet to bitter flavour on top of a dark maltbase. Medium bodied and quite easy to drink. Has minor orange notes. Complex, stoutish and light at the same time.

Bottled. Dark rubyish black colour, mediumsized brownish beige head. Weak malty aroma. Flavour is caramel malts, saccharine and some slight roast. Unbalanced, watery and closer to a dunkel than anything else.

From the bottle. Pours black into a snifter. No head and very little aroma which detracts. Spicy dark caramel throughout.
