[i] [b] Bottle kindly passed onto me from Vale Brewery 31-01-08 [/i] [/b] Poured really hazy yellow with huge white head and some yeasty bits on top, this just kept gushing out of the bottle. wonderfully lemony fresh and yeasty, lovely wheat beer and all the more impressive as this is a style that I usually am not so keen on,very refreshing, the banana and wheat are there but nowhere near as much as the lovely lemony fresh fruity bite, great beer.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with huge white head. Citrus like and slight brett-ish/lactose aroma. Flavour is controlled citric, fresh citrus fruity, prickling carbonation, vey mild caramel malt base and a mellow yeast note. Ends with a lingering acidic note and a light citrus fruity note.

330ml bottle from Hopduvel, Gent. Cloudy yellow colour with a big, white head. Aroma of herbs, yeast and citrus. Easy drinking with flavours of coriander, orange and more yeast. The finish was dry.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 22 Sep 2007) Pale yellow colour with white head. Fruity nose with citrus (lemon, oranges). Fruity taste with notes of lemon, apricots and spicy notes of Seville orange in the finish. Not very typical wit, more like a blond ale with wheat characteristics. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Unclear medium to dark yellow color with a average frothy good lacing mostly lasting white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, fruit sweetness / sour, spices, citrus / lime. Flavor is moderate sweet, light acidic and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to lively.

Brown bottle, 33 cl, best before 09 2008, savoured on February 28 2007; eye: voluminous (to write the least) white head (with two fingers of beer I had a glass full of foam, in fact there was so much head that has it was sunking that chunks of it were sticking to the glass), pale straw in color, lightly hazy, light effervescence; nose: wheat, yeast, fresh bread, spices; mouth: wheat, fizziness, spices, savours drop abruptly and then light malt, light hops, finale in wheat slightly spiced, foamy texture, quite carbonated, medium boyd, quite bitter, really slightly sweet; overall: nice surprise FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 33 cl, meilleure avant le 09 2008, savouré le 28 février 2007; oeil : mousse blanche volumineuse pour ne pas dire, avec deux doigts de bière le verre en est plein il y en a tellement qu’elle reste accrocher au verre, paille pâle, légèrement voilée, légère effervescencce; nez : froment, levure, pain frais, épices; bouche : froment, pétillant, épices, saveurs coupent court un peu rapidement, léger malt, léger houblon, finale en froment légèrement épicée, texture mousseuse, assez carbonatée, corps moyen, quelque peu amère, très légèrement sucrée; en résumé : belle surprise

Somewhat oily aroma of citrus and yeast. Hazy golden color with a vigorous white head that laces somewhat. Flavor is a bit sour orange, spice (cardamon?) and light stone fruit. Decent mouthfeel. More of a lightly carbonated citrus drink than a wheat beer? Not fair? It’s the most flavorful witbier I’ ve had. There is not a great deal of bitter in the finish; the sour note is diminished, and a coarse spicey citrus carries on.

Bottled. Unclear, yellow-golden beer with a white head that volcanoed out of the bottle. Very fruity aroma with orange and lemon, as well as some spices. Sweet and fruity flavor, with some sour notes and spices too. Medium, a bit sticky mouthfeel with a fruity finish. It felt very good after a lot of boring lagers. (070106)
