Another pairing of hops and citrus. The juicy fruit punch of Motueka hops is offset by the zing of fresh lime zest; all backed up by a classic Saison yeast character.

(Draught at Brew By Numbers, Bermondsey, London, 29 Nov 2014) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with citrus, hay, earthy yeast and lime. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of citrus, lime, lemon peel, floral hops, earthy yeast, a touch of coriander and a generous spicy bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Quite complex and very tasty. Very nice.

Bottle 330ml (AbM, abv 5.4%)
Slightly hazy yellow color, small steady white head. Aroma has some green apple tartness, lime and grapefruity hoppyness. Medium-bodied. Saison yeast spiceyness is there, also some fresh lemon zest, some bitterness in the finish. I think that lime and yeast even override a bit of Motueka character which comes in the aftertaste. Not really refreshing, actually quite malty, but interesting balanced brew.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Hazy bright yellow colour, white head. Aroma of some bitter lime zest, light fruity, classic saison aroma’s are still dominant, light malty and yeasty, earth, light floral. Flavour is light sweet, more dry than the Classic Saison, bitter lemon zest, lime, flowers, earth, bitter hoppy finish, light malty. Light bodied. Good.

Bottle from bottle-shop.eu. Thanks Bob! Yellow hazy colour, creamy white foam. Too much carbonation. Grassy aroma with fresh notes of lemon. Light bitter hoppy finish. Bitter, light sour notes. Ok beer.

OK men ingen stor saison - mangler personlighet.

Bottle. A hazy, yellow beer topped by a small, white head. The aroma is soft and fruity, with a herbal touch, almost like lime but not quite. There’s a nice peppery touch and a yeasty hint too. Saison yeast and black pepper, lime and a herbal and grassy touch too. Full body, soft carbonation and quite dry. Lasting finish with a nice bitterness and a good saison yeast touch. Sure a beer I could repeat some times. 140717
