Tap @ the brewery. Very dark brown with small tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, little liquorice, bread and a little lacto? Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, bread, caramel, little bitter and a little sweet.

Tap @ the brewery. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, lactose sugar, licorice, chocolate and hops.

Tap, at the brewery. Darkest red, creamy coloured head that quickly disappears. Roasted coffee, nutty aroma. Fruity, dry, mineral taste. Dry, fruity finish.

Draught @ Brew By Numbers Brewery, London. Pours dark brown with light brown head. Aorma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, little dark fruits, citrusly hops. Flavor is malts, coffee, chocolate, drark fruits. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, light dry bitter finish. 210913

Bottle at home, from Cotteridge, 20/09/13. Mid black with a big ole tan head that reduces in the course of time but retains as a covering. Nose is roast malt, liqourice, aniseed, cocoa, dark fruits, light spice. Taste comprises roast malt, cocoa, liqourice, dark fruit notes. dark toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry roasty finish. Decent porter.

Opaque black - brown beer, small suddy pale tan head. Palate is smooth, slightly soft and just a little dry. Smooth dark malts, mild cream. Subtle and mellow coffee. Finishes smooth and semi dry. A little mild hop bitterness coming through. A straight up smooth and decent porter.

Bottle from the brewery. Big chocolate notes, with plenty of roastiness in support, a hint of dark fruits and a dryish finish with a hoppy edge. Very good.

33cl bottle from ABCBeers. Very thick off white head. Clear deep burgundy pour. Smooth coffee chocolate aftertaste.
