Ebony. Small brown head. Aroma of dark malt, oak and cigar box. Wonderful taste and aftertaste of liquorice, cough medicine and hot and bitter sauna wood.

500 ml bottle, available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger in a very limited quantity. Produced in 2011 and matured a year. ABV is 14%. Bottle No. 685 out of 1650. Pitch black colour, low brown head. Intense and lovely aroma of dark malts, molasses, vanilla, chocolate and coffee, hints of fortified wine. Warming and oily mouthfeel, as expected. Very sweet and intensely malty flavour, with molasses and caramel galore, also plenty of chocolate and vanilla. Coffee and hops in the finish. Great now, but probably good for cellaring for another 20 years.

500ml bottle @ PBF 2013 from 50belair. Thanks!
Bottle 930/1650 - Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, berries, alcohol, hints of syrup and coffee. Taste is grainy, strong and sticky with notes of roastiness, dark ripe berries, sugar, syrup, molasses. Finish is sweet, oily and sticky with notes of honey, vanilla and molasses. Not your typical imperial stout. Sweet, heavy and complex. A bit too sweet and sticky for my taste, could be a bit more balanced.

50 cl bottle @ PBF VIII
Aroma has bilberries and soy sayce. Flavour has sugary notes, malt, honey and salty licorice. This has something in common with east European stouts & porters.

Bottled at PBF. Pitch black, miniscule dark brown head. Aroma of trewacle and vanilla. Sweet and massive bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Heather honey and oak, dripping with sweetness and powdered with vanillin sugar. Full of big flvours, but quite superficial. Warming finish with more vanilla.
