Sour wheat beer originally coming from Leipzig, brewed for the first time in collaboration with a former craft brewery, who sold-out to Swinkels (Bavaria) Group in 2019. Goses are traditionally spiced with salt and coriander, but we decided to add bitter orange peels and bergamot: it’s fresh, aromatic, savoury, slightly sour and refreshing. Do you find it weird? Try it and you will change your mind!

At Villagio Della Birra 2015.Hazy yellow color, white head. Spicy, fresh, very light acidic scent. Acidic, herbal, lemon taste. Some wheat dough aftertaste. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, very low bitterness.

Bottle sample in the Blåbær line. Pours tiny hazy golden with a small offwhite head that doesnät leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty and tiny fruity with caramel, lemon juice, burnt sugar, yoghurt, butterscotch, hay and lemon zest. Taste is sweet, tiny sour, tiny salty, slightly malty and tiny fruity. Mouthfeel is round, tiny tart and light bodied. Finish is sweet, slightly sour and tiny salty with caramel, burnt sugar, butterscotch, lemon juice, yoghurt, rock salt, minerals and lemon zest. Too sweet and with a buttery burnt sugar feel that very much doesn’t work for me. --- Beer merged from original tick of Beautiful & Strange on 18 Jul 2015 at 18:00 - Score: 5. Lightly hazy paleish gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and mildly dry. Modest fine carbonation. Nice mild lemony zing with a mild savoury vibe. A mild piney coolness brings a semi dry finish. Decent and most drinkable.

0,33L bottle (from Koht, Tallinn). Pours golden with off-white head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is grains, popcorn, sweetness, sourness. Flavor is sweet and sour, popcorn, grains, salt, lemon, and lime. Overall: feels like some lager mixed with sour beer, different, but not really good.

In a tasting, thanks, almost no head, hazy pale yellow color, fruity aroma, oxidized and quite lactic, honey and almond flavor with an oxidized hint, a little bland. Fair, but only just.

Bottle, L4332. Pours slightly hazy, light yellow to white, with a quickly receding creamy head. Aroma is sweet hay, grass, and lemon peel, as well as notes of light wood, light berries, ginger and white sugar. Medium body, with creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Flavour is salt and tart yeast, with notes of soap, wood and berries. Sweet, salty finish.
