from boxbeer.dk pitch dark, smooth brown head. really nice roasted malty aroma with a faint whiskey or bourbon like note to it. flavor is roasted malts, dry, bitter medicinal notes (cough syrup, herbs, bitter, krabask - could be some really weird wood effect). an extremely bitter imperial stout, the bitterness actually has an english feel to it, reminds me of some of the more bitter english kinds of hops.

33cl bottle. Had this beer a few times, a great Imperial Stout, right up my alley. Pitch black, viscous, velvety dark tan head. Tons of roast, dark malts, smoke, roasted coffee beans, light soy sauce, more roast. Very roasty bitter, full body, thick and viscous, low carbonation. Excellent stuff!

Opaque black beer, bubbly brown head. Aroma of chocolate and earthy malt. Flavour has a proper hit, where a lot of these rich, imperial stouts manage to hide it. Not especially alcohol-tasting, just a big hit. Bitter, earthy malt. Dark chocolate. Liquorice. . An almost charcoal-y aftertaste. It probably isn’t my favourite imperial stout, but it’s a big hitter by any measure and while I might not rush back for more I certainly wouldn’t turn my nose up at it.

Bottle at a tasting. Really rich, complex, intense, yet balanced and drinkable. Lots of chocolate, cocoa, dried fruits, background hops bitterness, subtle grassy hops flavour. Alcoholic warmth evident, but not annoying. Very good.

Super! 12/12/12/12/11/12

Bottle. Black motoroil. Aroma of heavy roasted malt, cacao, booze and cream. Taste has heavy creamy bitter cacao, roasted malt, caramel, dry coffee and a dry bitter finish. This is heavy stuff.
