Keg at the cock tavern. Barmaid poured me a pint by accidentally. Aroma is really nice fruity citrus tropical fruit and touch of roast. Opaque black and dark caramel with a persistent cream head and some lace. Really nice citrus hop and fruit just a hint of choc and roast. Good.

Dark ruby-brown color, small steady beige head, lace. Aroma has gooseberries, bitterness and licorice. Medium-bodied. Licorice and ashy toasted maltyness dominates first, then aftertaste has some citrusy hoppyness with more licorice. Very nice.

Draft @ LCBF 2013. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty piney hoppy aroma. Roasted malty hoppy bitter caramel flavor with hints of licorice. Has a roasted malty hoppy bitter finish.

Tap at Kaisla, Helsinki. Colour is black with small slightly brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Chocolate, hints of coffee and licorice in after taste, hops, some fruits and roasted malts. Great beer but tartness in taste.

Big beige lasting head. Dark opaque body. Resiny meaty tropical fruit taste with catty notes. Dry-sweet resiny earthy roasty taste with catty pineapple notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy plastic rubbery aftertaste with wooden spicy roasty notes. Weird. Didn’t like this much. I guess black IPA with Simcoe-like hops is not my thing. (0.33l draft at The Rover, Göteborg, Sweden.)

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark black pour with thin off white head, big pine hop aroma, piney hops come through in the taste and some citrus quite oily mouthfeel very resinous only a whiff of roasted malts.

Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is wet leafs, hops, fresh cut lawn, citrus peel, rubber, burnt caramel, pine needles. Taste is slightly sweet, grass, sugar, rubber, burnt caramel, pine needles, wet leafs. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Not a favourite.

BBE May 2013 - Pours pitch black with a foamy white head. Aroma of roasty malts, grassy hop pallets, hints of coffee and fruits. Taste is roasty, slightly fruity and grassy with some bitterness, hints of coffee and cocoa. Finish is sweetish, bitter and dry with some roastiness and hints of grass. Quite tasty, perhaps would be even better from a fresh bottle.
