Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Sticky resiny piney IPA. Yep a decent American style IPA. Yep an overly sticky IPA. Good, but a touch unbalanced, but it’s a good American style IPA.

Nose is tropical fruits, kiwi, grapefruit and a touch of peach. Taste, is pine, resin, grapefruit peel, and herbs. The slight undercut of sweet honey, is what gives some distinction in a common style. Bitter finish is lasting. Mouthfeel is nice and full. Every brewery has an American style IPA, and this is as a good example of it with some differentiation in taste, but sometimes it’s better to lead than follow...

Keg at Vintage, Leith. It pours hazy gold with a small white head. The nose is full of tropical fruit... Five alive fruit juice, orange, tangerine, mango, papaya and guava. The taste is zesty orange, tangerine, bold bitterness, resin, light toast, peppery/spicy element and some alcohol warmth with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Tasty fruity IPA. Rather impressed with this one, well done Redchurch!

33cl bottle, bb 9 02 2014. Dark amber, unclear color, thin, lasting white head. Tropical fruity aroma, pineapple, mango, floral notes, fresh. Musty flavor with strong piney notes, herbal wibes leading to a very bitter finish. Chewy, strong, full bodied, closer to a DIPA. Could be more balanced.

Resinous hoppy aroma, fruity notes of peach and citrus, caramel malty basis with a biscuit touch. Taste is bitter hoppy on a caramel malty basis, citrusy, fruity, slightly biting bitter hoppy in the middle part; sticky palate.

Very hazy amber beer, almost cloudy. Big fluffy off white head. Head has sherbet citrus hops - nice! Palate is light and semi dry. Crispy. Mild and semi sweet pale malt base. Piney orange citrus hops on top. Finishes light with tangerine and clementine and mild bitter linger. A little Kernel like - so pretty good!

Bottle from Oddbins, Blackheath - A hazy orange pour with a medium white head and light lacing. Hoppy citrus fruits, pine and sweet caramel, and crystal malt sweet aroma and taste, with a medium dry bitter finish. Good stuff this, impressed.
