Kollaborationsbier is Live Oak Pilz wort fermented in stainless steel with Jester King mixed culture. The Pilz wort is brewed at Live Oak and driven across town to Jester King for fermentation. This simple, crushable beer maintains much of the Live Oak Pilz character when young and fresh, then goes through a mixed culture metamorphosis in the bottle as it ages. 6.0% abv.

Sample bottle @ ACBF 2015.

Small white rim over very pale yellow-greenish beer. Perfumey, soapy, very delicate blossoms - lemonblossom, maybe? Dry, strawlike, flowery taste, immortelles. Perfumey, garden herbs flavours. Light body, quite slick. quite nice beer, delicate yet powerful (certainly for its modest ABV!)

Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ ACBF 2015. Hazy golden, little white head. Nose is mineral, lightly funky, bit odd & weak, fizzy,… Taste is bitter mineral, caramel malts, light bitterness, fizzy , salty, lightly soapy,… Very fizzy & touch watery. Very nondescript, it is quite bland & unimpressive, way below the usual Jester King standard. (Thanks for sharing people!!!)

Bottle shared by Adam! Pours a hazy light yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of funk with a bit of earthy grains and a light tart fruit note. Flavor has earthy grains and a good amount of funk, some menthol and light tart fruits.

Hazy yellow, no head. Wheat, some tart, smells like a berliner weisse. lemons, very diluted and light, some peach, herbs. for sure a little soapy but not awful, just not sure I’d want a 750ML

6/III/15 - 75cl bottle @ ACBF 2015 (Vichte) - BB: n/a (2015-295) Thanks to all for sharing today's beers!
Clear pale yellow to almost pale white looking beer, small white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: funky, bit weird, "putje" (sulphur), smelly farts. :p MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: yeasty, very soapy, unpleasant bitterness, spicy touch. Aftertaste: spicy, lemony, lime juice, pretty bitter. Dafuq did I just taste?

Bottle thanks to Phil. Pours a hazy yellow gold with large frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat grass, earthy hop, floral, and citrus. Thin mouth with nice sourness, dough, earthy hop, light dryness, very good. Please more collabs with Live Oak!
