Aurelian Lure is barrel-aged wild ale re-fermented with apricots.
We barrel-aged beer brewed with well water, Texas grain, and a blend of fresh and aged hops for about a year in neutral oak. We then created a blend and added fresh, hand-processed apricots at a ratio of four pounds per gallon. The result is a highly aromatic beer bursting with fresh, tangy apricot flavor. We hope you enjoy the return of one of our favorite fruit beers we make at Jester King.

On tap at Bottleworks. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Rustic yeast and dried apricots on the nose. Flavour has juicy apricots, medium acidity, earthy wild yeast. Very nice.

Annie got a dog! Beer wise, bit of a tart apricot bomb upfront, mellows out to nice funk and sweet apricot rings if such a thing exists.

The best of the three. Beautifully balanced, a lot of fruit character still present. Classic Jester King. Tart, drying apricot funk

Hasn’t held up as well as the 2014. Fruit has really faded. Still a good beer, but lacking some balance. Vertical of 2014-2016

Funky tart Jester King. Murky pour, showing its age. Definitely some apricot still there, dried rather than fresh. Probably a bit past its prime. Vertical of 2014-2016

Taster showing pale gold with sparse white foam. The nose shows moderately juicy intense notes of peach and apricot throughout. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Juicy apricot throughout and mildly tart throughout.

Bottle from trade with Kevin. Pours hazy orange with a brief, white head. Funky barnyard, some citric acidity, quite a bit of apricots. Quite tart and also quite good, but lacks a bit of elegance.
