Aurelian Lure is barrel-aged wild ale re-fermented with apricots.

We barrel-aged beer brewed with well water, Texas grain, and a blend of fresh and aged hops for about a year in neutral oak. We then created a blend and added fresh, hand-processed apricots at a ratio of four pounds per gallon. The result is a highly aromatic beer bursting with fresh, tangy apricot flavor. We hope you enjoy the return of one of our favorite fruit beers we make at Jester King.

Awesome apricot infusion here. Like chomping on dried apricots. Some grapefruit and citrus peel but that apricot. Hazy orange pour with ok head. Tangy apricot finish. Love this one. Tap at Sovereign.

Hazy blond colour, the head disappears quickly. Mild aroma of stone fruit (apricot?), and acid. The body is thin, dry, the mouthfeel is very sour, lemony, some nice sour stone fruit character, and some astringency in the finish. It's not very complex but it's nice.

August 2015 bottle, shared very generously shared by Nick on 6/10/16. Thanks, man!
Soft, pale, flaxen gold-apricot body has some very light maize tints and shows good clarity. Off-white head atop is medium-sized and shows moderate to moderately-strong retention.
Ripe, juicy apricots combine with oak to give off a juicy, almost cedary aroma filled with light lactic notes and tons of bright brett. Little bit of acetic character deepens the funk and the finish is full of apricot and oak.
Lightly sweet malts create a solid base as oily oak, apricot juice and light acetic notes definitely provide a huge amount of flavor. Tartness on the end is pleasing and helps clear away the oak and malt, leaving a crisp apricot character. Ultra tight carbonation, as the best JKs always have with good attenuation and still a malty texture. Even after 10 months, this little guy is still an intensely flavorful experience with strong sourness/tartness. These things are made so well and it’s no wonder they usually age wonderfully.

Poured from a Blend 3, 08/2015 bottle. Aroma is apricot forward with a nice, moderate stone fruit character. Light citrus notes with light oak and white wine tannins. Hints of tropical fruit and some light grain notes. Pours a hazy pale golden color with a medium small, fairly thick, white head that exhibits good retention as it slowly recedes. Faint lacing and no legs. Flavor has a medium light to moderate acidity with a light citrus note. Some light pineapple and tropical fruit. Hints of oak with some light tannins. Moderate apricot notes, but not as juicy as in the aroma. Light bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice apricot forward farmhouse ale with balanced acidity.
