33cl bottle, many thanks to DSG. Smooth fresh nose of roasted barley. Hints of woody sourness. Nice sourish beginning, rich and round with dry smooth roasted barley. Very dry, nice sourness in the body. Fresh, smooth, malty smooth, easy to drink but still thick. Great malty-dry sourish aftertaste with a bit of bitterness. Great.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Mr. Bloom. The beer is very black. I have to tilt the beer a bit to get any brown. The head is fizzy and light brown. Aroma shows off a lot of acidic roast right off the bat. Some weak coffee. A touch of actually pretty good chocolate, which I wish was amped up considerably. While the taste doesn’t have much of a true roasted malt flavor, the acidity of black patent malt dominates the taste. There’s some light dark chocolate - again, a stronger chocolate presence would do wonders for this beer. Some simple malt sweetness, though the finish dries out satisfactorily. Odd mineral character. Feel is thin and a bit fizzy. This beer mostly emphasizes elements of the style that I don’t like. That said, I can appreciate the effort and the brewery’s intention.

330 ml. bottle sampled. Obtained in the big Israeli trade. Shared with multiple people @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Black, little mocha bubbles. Nose is sweetish coffee, light grains, touch soy sauce. Taste is bitter vegetable roast, herbal coffee, bitter grounds, light liquorish. Grainy roast body. Touch metallic. Pretty decent & quaffable beer.
