Pitch black color. No head. Midnight color. Nice dark chocolate, roasted malt and dark fruit nose. Low carbonation. Semi dry lots of roasted malts. Firm bitterness. Well balanced. Straight forward well made stout

355ml can. Named after the honorary Commodore who was appointed each year to lead a series of events on the waters of Sylvan Lake dating back to 1915. Pours an opaque black with a thin, creamy, short lived, brown head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate and dark fruit with a dry, mild bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Another nascent brewing concern here in Alberta that is doing all the right things. Great to see.
