Super Kroon Pale Ale is an old-fashioned Belgian Pale Ale. This beer is brewed on the basis of a historical recipe of the Brewery De Kroon. At that time, the beer was called "Super Crown" Pale Ale in reference to English beers. The wonderful character of the Super Kroon is the result of the use of caramel malts, fermentation with wild yeasts and very intense hopping. EBC 40.

Medium beige head. Hazy deep amber body. Fruity mealy papery aroma with spicy perfumy notes. Dry-acidic spicy fruity taste with wooden spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Faintly astringent mouthfeel. Dryish fruity wooden spicy aftertaste. Interesting, drinkable, and very unusual. (0.3l draft at the brewery. By style this is a peeterman. That is, an amber wit coloured by a long boil.)
