Moat Water is a stout brewed with lactose and Skatepart of Tampa’s own moat water, then aged with coffee, vanilla beans and Canadian maple wood veneers.

As for the flavor... think All You Can Eat chocolate chip pancakes and bottomless coffee.

It’s appearance is dark, just like your future if you dare to partake in the infamous Moat Race during Skatepark of Tampa’s legendary Tampa AM and Tampa PRO.

Bottle during Black Sunday. Pours a black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, ash, char. Thick mouth, chewy chocolate, coffee, burnt wood, maple, nice vanilla, really enjoyed this one.

Bottle with thanks to Homer! I really hope I haven’t sat on this one too long. Pours dark black, large creamy dark brown head, lingers for quite a while leaving thick sticky residual and lacing. Aroma is roasty malts, lactose sugars, coffee. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter, lots of coffee, a touch of vanilla, some chocolate. No maple to be found. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, lingering bitterness into the far finish.

Bouteille 75cl courtesy of Ibrew2or3.

75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2014. Courtesy of & thx! to Sebletitje. GUSHER. Pours a very dark blackish brown with a vanishing dark mocha head. Nose is heavy on the roast, caramel, mocha, coffee powder, all bitter & heavy on the roast. Charcoal upfront in the taste, bitter coffee grounds, charred barrel, faint sweetness in the back, mocha. Bit thin & fizzy. Would have preferred personally if there had been more sweetness in this & not bitter grounds and charcoal. Not a bad beer but I think that CCB can reach greater heights than this.

750mL bottle, sent from Daniel 719 (thanks a lot, Daniel), pours black with a tiny tan head. Nose brings out loads of vanilla beans, followed by coffee and slight woody notes. Flavour brings out rich notes of roasted malt, wood, vanilla beans, and espresso. Very woody, dry, and roasty, with just enough vanilla and subtle coffee notes. Super complex and highly drinkable. Awesome stuff.
