Sampled at Bierweekend de Lambiekstoempers 2014 . Pours clear, light yellow . Nearly no head . Smell is a bit sweet . Fruity, some oak . Too high carbo . The wine totally collides with the other tastes here , making this a bitch to drink ...

75 cl. bottle sampled @ Streekbierweekend 2014. thx! for sharing people. 2012 Vintage & BA according to the booklet. Light hazy amber / orange, small white head. Nose is esters, apples, light vanilla, touch white wine, faint white grapes,… Taste is apple, mineral, vanilla, candy, touch stale beer-like, sweet sugar, yeast,… Light body, touch fizzy. Not really getting the hate here, this was okay with some nice things to it, nothing stellar but not bad anyway.

Commissioned beer for café Den Afgrond, with different labels. Thin, loose, opening, off-white head, colour coppery brown, misty. Malty aroma with a smoked touch, peach, caramel, hazelnuts, whisky, nutmeg, dried leaves, straw, peat, grapefruit, honey. Vaguely sweet onset, honeyish and spicy accents, caramel- and strongly nut-like maltiness, citrus touch, finishing in a dry, peppery hop bitterness, rather thin mouthfeel. Seems to have great aging potential, which I have yet to try.

Standard Belgian blond beer, I mostly wanted to drink it because of the cool name. (can be translated as: ’caboodle from the abyss’)

Bit of a gusher. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of yeast, banana, tobacco, light candy and honey, feels quite old. Rather sweet flavour, yeast, malts, light citrus, sour touch. Bit sickly (weeïg) finish, tobacco, malts, light dust.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, near Gent, Belgium, consumed at home Sunday 12th August 2012 Pours hazy gold with white head, busy carbonation, spicy, yeasty but a little too average. Just poured the second half into my glass, it looks like an Irish coffee served in one of them glasses that they come in. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.9

33cl from Dranken Geers, no BB date, light gusher. Peu faire mieux.

6/I/2012 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: no markings on the side to indicate the BB date (2012-16)

Note: effin' gusher, leaving more than half of the bottle over my table and notebook.

Cloudy pale beige beer, big head, dissipates immediately. Aroma: very sour, dirty malts, bretta touch, lemon, cleaning product. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: damn this, I'm not even gonna start, this is just disgusting stuff. Drain pour.

Clear blond body, bit hazy. Creamy, off-white head. Nose of hops, citrus (orange, lemon, bit caramalts). Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Sticky bitterness. Ok, not great.
