From me brother: this is the new version Dubbel Twubbel: pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is almost like a mix of a black ipa and a dubbel, in fact more of the former than the latrer. Taste is fairly bitter, hoppy. Hard to even pick out the round fruity dubbelness. Weird

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear amber with a brown hue and a grey head that dissipated slowly to the edges and laced nicely. Aroma had notes of candied sugar, raisins, dates, and some sweet dark grains. There was a bit of backing spice. Flavor began with dates and raisins and finished more like a sweet bread with some candied sugar and the dates and raisins becoming backing notes.
