Onze Saison, ook wel Farmhouse Ale genoemd, is een kruidig biertje met een fruitig karakter. Saison is de Franse benaming voor seizoen. Het werd in de oogsttijd door seizoensarbeiders gedronken. Brouwde jij in die tijd het beste Saison biertje, dan had je geen tekort aan arbeiders.

Een echt boerderij biertje dus. En dat komt ook in de moutstort terug. Naast gerstemout gebruiken we alles wat voorhanden is op de boerderij. Waaronder tarwe en rogge. Het bier heeft een hoge hopgift die een heerlijke bitterheid geeft. Bij Artemis geven we een speciale twist aan onze Saison door te werken met verse gember en citroengras. Een verrassend lekker biertje met een complex smaakprofiel.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Spicy and peppery aroma with Saison yeast, herbal notes, malt, citrus, soft ginger and lemongrass, lightly vegetable. Flavour is mild sweet and slightly bitter. Body is medium. Not bad, I especially like the touch of lemongrass.

Lichtbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig en licht kruidig met iets van citroengras, wat citrus en een vleug peper.

Fles 33cl thuis. Droog, citroengras, lemontoets, malttonen, fruitig, pepertje, licht gember, citrus, licht plakkerig, bittertonen, bloemig. (16-5-2021).

330ml bottle. Hazy, dark orangey, golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Funky yeasty, slightly bready, wheaty malty and minimally herbal-grassy, hoppy aroma, hints of mustard seed, white pepper, a touch of tarragon and sage. Taste is slightly dry, tart-ish, herbal-grassy and minimally citrusy hoppy, slightly funky yeasty, minimally bready, wheaty malty basis, hints of tarragon, mustard seed, white pepper, lime peel, old lemon peel, a touch of lavender, minimally soapy interference. Light, lively, refreshing - nice.
