High-gravity golden ale with peaches and milk sugar
A classic from our storied 2007 Imperial Beer Series, Peaches and Cream is a real Joe Short original, showcasing his desire to push the boundaries of what beer could be in a time when “dessert beers” weren’t actually a thing. There is a wacky amount of fresh peach and milk sugar in this brew, and boy howdy does it taste like dessert in a glass. You’ll be pleased as a peach with this treat.

75 cl bottle @ Konttori. Rated on 02.05.2009
Aroma has peaches, some fruity notes and hints of spices. Flavour has sweet caramel, peaches, creamy notes, some milk and hints of spices. Also alcohol on some sips.. This one is quite what the name promises. Really weird stuff but somehow I like it. Could not drink big amounts though.

GABF 2012. Just like the description says. This is a sweet beer with lots of fruit. Thick and smooth palate, and it reminds me of peaches and cream ice cream.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with small white head. The aroma is a strong peaches and fruity malt. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet peach flavor and light malt finish. Peach flavor a little overpowering, a decent fruit beer from Shorts.

12 oz bottle from Lionsandbeer. Nose is cling peaches and milky sugar. Clear orange with a small offwhite head. Flavor is lightly sweet, spicy peaches with some lactic acid tartness and with a tiny hint of bitter. Pretty good actually, daughter and daughter in law would love this.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Slightly hazy amber-gold color with a thin white head and spotty lacing. Aroma of malt and peaches. Medium to full body with flavors of peach and biscuit malt. Fresh peachy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled 8/20/2012. Pours cloudy golden orange color with a small 1 finger foamy white head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of fresh peach, citrus zest, grass, herbal, and light cream. Very nice aromas with good strength and balance; exactly what was expected. Taste of peaches, herbal, grass, earth, light citrus, and light cream. Light fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of peaches, grass, and herbal on the finish for a bit. Nice balance of flavors with no cloying sweetness at all. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a fairly slick and syrupy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Shorts fruit beer! Very nice balance of fruit flavor with no cloying sweetness at all; and extremely smooth to sip on. Highly enjoyable stuff.

12 oz. bottle, sent from northernbrews (thanks a lot, Jeff), pours a hazy copper orange with a small head. Aroma of peaches and some lactic and creamy qualities - fairly subtle. Flavour is hugely sugary, with cloyingly sweet peaches, mild lactic qualities, and more sugary peaches. ABV is not detectable at all - drinks like 5%. This is way too cloyingly sweet. I don't understand the ratings for this sugar bomb. Not good.

Bottle thanks to Kyle. Pours a hazy creamsicle peach with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice peach note that has a hint of tartness and a bit of sweet creaminess from the lactose. Flavor has a really nice note of peach that are sweet with a hint of bite from tartness with the same sweetness from the lactose. Works quite well IMO.
