Bottle. Pours dark amber, with a small creamy head. Aroma is sweet, syrupy malts, with kandi and notes of cherries. Flavour is sweet malt and canned cherries, and not much more really. Pretty one dimensional, and a bit disappointing.

Marrón rojiza, clara. Escasa espuma. Aroma dulce de cereza. Igual que el sabor, en el que el tono frutal de las cerezas prevalee sobre el resto. También toques de caramelo. Final algo flojo.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark ruby with airy off-pink head. Clear aroma of malt and fart and dust, with some vinous notes. Sweetish, malty flavour, heavily offset by vinous and fruity, berrylike notes. Touches of yeast. Rough and slightly dusty aftertaste with vinous notes. Well balanced and not bad but the dusty notes are more interesting than good.

Reddish color without head. Aroma has notes of cherries and some red fruits, leather notes as well. Flavor is very fruity, with notes of red fruits, mainly cherries, sweet on palate with slightly sourness. Fruity and cherry final.

0.5l bottle. This is a really deep dark brown one, cloudy as hell where it's resting in the glass and it has a small bubbled not very ling lasting off-white head. The nose is quite nice and sweetish nutty with dark caramel, ripe slightly yeasty fruits. In the mouth it's also a tad sweetish and oily while it's just below average and softly prickling on the carbonation. Sweet sticky flavors that's combined with lots of sourness! Did not see that one coming. It's definitely sticky and sweet but really nutty, candy sweet and I have to admit good. Yeah, a interesting turn on a barley wine this. There's hardly any trace of the relatively high ABV here, making it slightly dangerous. Yeah, I kinda liked this! 17.05.2014

Thx! 500 ml. bottle. Small sample @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Dark red cough syrup look. Smell is very pleasant surprise, kriek (sour cherry), sweet spices mixed with molasses and spices, sour cherry pits,… Taste is brown sugar, molasses, caramel, concentrated sugar sweetness, leading into winter spices, sour cherry finish with nice refreshing sourness, kriek pits,… Thick liquid brown sugar body. This is wonderful, great surprise.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly fruity, caramel malts, sugar, red berries, grass, PEZ cherry candy, berry skin. Taste is sweet sour-ish fruity, caramel malts, sugar, sweet red berries, PEZ cherry candy, grass, hay. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh berryskin-like mouthfeel. Don’t really see the barley wine thing here, but alcohol is very well hidden. Cudos for that! Nice enough.

Fin syrlig duft av kirsebær. Mørk rødbrun farge. Brunt skum langs kant. Frisk smak av kirsebær med en søtsyrlig ettersmak.
