12 fl. oz. can from Craft Beer Kontor, Hannover. A nice dark red brown in the glass, think it´s clear, with a more one finger pale beige head. Pleasant choco malty smell. Taste is also choco, malty, hints of fruits, some sweetness, lactose. Smooth. Low sweetness. Low carbonated. Nice.

Can from Clownoisseur: pours clear brown with beige head. Aroma is caramel, hints of smoke, plenty malt. Taste is fairly sweet. Light hoppy touch. Smoke is less than was expected. A tad chewy.

12 ounce can. Auburn brown color. frothy tan head. Subtle toasted malt nose. Hints of caramel and smoke. Flavor follows nose with added notes of toasted walnuts and molasses. Smooth and flavorful. Sticky mouthfeel. Nice malty finish.

Draft, dark red brown clear. Faint chocolate, mainly malt aroma. Watery. Chocolate taste, malt finish. Not a great brown ale.

Pretty decent brown ale - better than average in my estimate. Nutty and some roast. A touch of coffee like morning campfire. Not quite the smoke of a bonfire. Pours clear mahogany with ok head. Some bitterness in finish. Tap at Plum Market at airport.
