On tap. Pours a clear orange-brown with a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, nuts and light smoke. Sweet flavour of toasted malt, bread, caramel, chocolate, nuts and light smoke with a dry, slightly bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

Pours dark brown from the bottle with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma is really perfect for a brown: chocolate, roasted chestnuts, fresh warm cream, a whisp of smoke. Unfortunately the taste is not quite so good: nutty sweet and full of caramel but more sour in the finish than I prefer. Still, very pleasant though. Body is medium with a restrained carbonation. A very nice brown.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a solid milky brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Light stringy lace.
The aroma centered around some soft sweet and roasty malts. Nuts - somewhat like cashews, then the caramel to toffee crispness. Light grassy hops with a dry bitterness.
The flavor leaned towards the sweetness trying to bring in the roast but that stays in the background for the most part. Light malty aftertaste and finish.
The feel was almost medium bodied with a really nice smoothness to it. ABV felt good and the carbonation felt good.
Overall, nicely done brown ale well worth my time and money.
