Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a dark red-brown color with orange highlights and a large creamy tan head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, caramel, fruity hops and a light herbal and baking spice note. The flavor was bitter , smoky and woody with light fruity hops and a bit of bread. Medium length finish with lingering smoke. Medium body. Meh.

Bottle. Very average brown ale. Nothing at all special - pretty disappointing beer all told.

Malziger Antrunk, leichte Kaffeenoten. Die Malzigkeit breitet sich noch aus, das Kaffeearoma nimmt ab. Mild würzig, minimal herb. 10/9/9/10/10/9

milky malt aroma. a darker beer. a mild dark beer creamy feel to it. hides alky ok. leaves a slight bitter medicine finish. Going out on a limb I’m going to say its more like mild porter.

Bottle, 0.355l. Cloudy dark brown color with thin creamy tan-like head and average carbonation in palate. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, chocolate, smoke and dark fruits. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel malt, nuts and chocolate, follows by roasted sourness and smoky notes, mild spicy mouthfeel and mild bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Good to light up your desire for another one...

355ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing, chestnut colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Malty aroma has cautious hints of nuts, smoke, cocoa. Taste is slightly sweet malty, nuttily, a touch of chocolate, very cautious hints of smoke, some integrated hop bitterness. Decent.
