This brown ale poured a deep red colour with a light brown head. Minimal lacing. Scents include roasted malt, toast, caramel and grassy hop. First swig was nice and smooth with a little creaminess on the mouthfeel side. Flavours of roasted malts and caramel with a light, sweet finish. A very good brown ale!

(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, mahogany colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Dark and slightly roasted malty and slightly nutty aroma with notes of caramel and smoke. Mildly sweet and roasty bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Moderately roasted malt character with notes of nuts, bread crusts, caramel and cacao; dry-ish bitter-sweet roasty malty and mildly smoked finish with a delicately touch of sourness. Pleasant. 29.IX.14

THANKS! More than half of a 355 ml. bottle @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Dark brown, tanned bubbles. Meaty smoke, gravy with sweet wood, wet wood sweetness. Sweet smoke / gravy taste, sweet wood, bacon, heavy brown sugar sweetness, branches, dates,… Chewy body. Simple, bit unbalanced, touch to sweet but a very fun beer to drink for the rauchbier lover in me.
