English Session Pale Ale A light, golden beer. Inviting fruity hop aroma. Refreshing, zesty finish. Pick me.

Bottle from Lidl. Pours clear golden with a lasting, thin, foamy, white head. Aroma of yeast, apple peel, grapefruit, mandarin. Taste has bitter grapefruit, pine, yeast, soft sweetish maltiness, touch of sour citrus. Dry, piney hoppy finish, more grapefruit peel & apple. Light to medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. At least it doesn't feel industrial. Refreshing.

Hometown love in but realistically it’s an easy drinker

Bottle, from historic notes. Source not recorded. Poured golden amber with an average size off-white head. Aroma of flowers, hops, malt, caramel and a little fruit. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, slight oily and watery texture, average carbonation.

Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Dry hoppy aroma. Starts hoppy, some metallical notes, also a bit soapy. Some herbal notes. Finish could be more balanced. Okay.

Clear deep golden colour. Large rocky white head. Good retention. Aroma: crackers, sourish fruit, floral, green hop, minerals. Light body. Soft to average carbonation. Taste: medium dry, malty, mineral, fruity, hoppy. Light plus bitterness. Short ending. Passable session ale.

Bottle from Lidl. Smooth mild beginning. Fruity with a nice grainy and slightly watery back. Nice balanced with a grainy smooth maltiness. Long malty grainy and slightly bitter back. A bit watery but nice.

20-08-19 // bottle from the local LIDL. Session ale on point. A little watery due to the light body. Golden and clear. Mild malty body and a mild citrus aroma form the hops. Not bad and not good either. Simple thirstquencher. --- Beer merged from original tick of EPA on 20 Aug 2019 at 19:29 - Score: 5. Original review text: Session ale on point. Gift from Daniel Tomlinson. Rocky white head stayed well on a pale golden body. Fruity, hoppy aroma - smells like an old English Bitter. Medium bodied thinning on the back with a clean aft. Floral, fruity, peach & light malt tastes with a tangy back.
