No. 15, much like a certain fabled two-piece candy bar of our youth, rich, dark chocolate notes accented with aromatic toasted coconut. What would add depth and character to this already delicious combo, we wondered? The answer is time (6 months) well spent in the very best rum barrels available.

Bottle thanks to the Dood! Pours near black with a deep brown head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has notes of raisins, dark grains, bitter chocolate and a bit of coconut. Flavor is extremely sweet with coconut and sweet chocolate with a hint of roasted malts backing. Overly sweet.

Bottle thanks to Ratman. Near black hued body with a tan head and menacing legs. Aromas are of raisin bran cereal, deep toasted malts, dark fruits, toasted coconut, fudge cocoa, rum barrel, marshmallows and a boat load of alcohol, smells like an intense and decadent experience. Flavors are big boozy, rummy and sweet. A bit of an odd and sugary, sweet then metallic transformation. I wish there were some bourbon tannins to balance things out. It’s boozy, it’s sweet, but nice coconut and rum flavors carry it well. Some milk chocolate character. Viscous, and alcohol heft/ sweetness dominate the body. Super drinkable (haha, no, not really), but as expected its a punch to the palate. Overall: flavorful, nothing off, ethanol sweetness, wish their was more balance through a bourbon like tannin.
