Bier verbindet. Rauchbier noch mehr. Deshalb haben sich der brasilianische Craft Brewer Alexandre Bazzo und Braumeister Roland Kundmüller erstmals 2014 zusammengetan und einen Rauchbock gebraut. Bernsteinfarben, rauchig wärmend und mit Hopfen aus dem eigenen Garten. Das Ergebnis ist ein Zeichen ihrer Freundschaft. Und ein Genuss, den beide lieben. Gebraut auch weiterhin saisonal nach diesem Vorbild mit den 4 Malzsorten Carared, Melanoidin-, Rauch-, und Pilsner Malz sowie den Hopfen Hallertauer Gold, Saphir und Spalter Select.

Bottle from Erzengel. Cheers. Smokey aroma with underlying sweet fruity sugariness. Light amber. Creamy translucent white head. Initial bitterness that remains throughout. It would probably be sweeter but the edge is taken off that by the smooth smokey umami. Medium bodied. Slick and buoyed by soft carbonation. Astringent finish. Decent stuff. The Rauch benefits the Bock.

500 ml bottle. Clear amber, foamy head. Caramel, smoked ham, brown sugar, citrus, metal, herbal piney hops. Malty sweetness, metallic bitterness. Full bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, metallic-sweet finish. Not bad, but could have been more smoked.

Bottle picked up from Getränke Haussman Feldkirchen. Consumed at home Attenkirchen, Thursday 9th January 2020 listening to Steve Lamaqs Evening Session it's Round Table later on. Pours clear warm gold, perfect clarity with a white head, looks perfection. Malt and a little honey on the nose and whilst there may be some smoke it's incredibly subtle. In the mouth this is malty, smokey gorgeousness, thick in the mouth a little boozyness, really great.

500ml Bottle - Dark golden in colour. Smoky aroma with notes of beech, ash and some slightly rubbery notes. Smoky taste with notes of ash, dried fruit, apricot and beech. Could do with a bit more balance but it isn't bad.

Fles gedeelt door Benzai, geprobeerd met Keukeman. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een rokerige geur. De smaak is rokerig en caramel achtig.

Bottle. Amber color. Fat smoked sausage and a hint of licorice in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty. Bready but also dry flavor. Hints of smoke. Roast in the finish. Well balanced, well brewed.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich smoked malt, hops, little caramel, meat and has a smoky malty finish.

Bottle. Color: Copper, off-white head. Aroma: Smoked meat. Taste: Smooth mouthfeel, moderate to medium sweet, malty, pretty strong smoked meat. Caramel, bread, hints of liquorice. Smoke and hints of ash at finish. Moderate to medium bitterness. Medium body, below average carbonation.
