Bier verbindet. Rauchbier noch mehr. Deshalb haben sich der brasilianische Craft Brewer Alexandre Bazzo und Braumeister Roland Kundmüller erstmals 2014 zusammengetan und einen Rauchbock gebraut. Bernsteinfarben, rauchig wärmend und mit Hopfen aus dem eigenen Garten. Das Ergebnis ist ein Zeichen ihrer Freundschaft. Und ein Genuss, den beide lieben. Gebraut auch weiterhin saisonal nach diesem Vorbild mit den 4 Malzsorten Carared, Melanoidin-, Rauch-, und Pilsner Malz sowie den Hopfen Hallertauer Gold, Saphir und Spalter Select.

From a 500ml bottle on 15/5/2022. Pours an opaque golden with a medium head. Smells smoky, with hints of bacon and campfire ash. The taste is a rinse and repeat of the nose. Full bodied with average carbonation. A really solid and enjoyable smoked beer.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 23.09.2022 Aroma has new leather shoes, smoke and tar. Flavour has smoke, tar and leather shoes. Good and smoky beer, perhaps a tad stuffy; drinkability could be even better.

Flaska från Landbierparadis.de. Klar mörk gyllenfärgad vätska med medelhögt skum. Stor rökig doft med chark och lägereld. Söt för stilen, stor kropp, sötman tränger undan rökigheten och tar nog för stor plats. Blir nästan lite kvalmigt med sötman som behöver matchas av rökt oss eller husman med rejäl sötma. Så gott men väl sött.

Bottle. Amber with a good inch of white head that fades to a cm in short order. Smokey glaze aroma with sticky breadcrust. Moderately sweet and clean under the lovely smoke before a gentle, slightly spiced bitter end. Good, but I guess I wanted deeper caramelized notes.

Bottle from Geers. Hazy dark orange, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of smoked sausage, bacon, coal, apricot jam, peanut, apple peel, herbs. Taste has sweet apple, pear & banana peel, bitter herbal & spicy middle in a bready malty body, touch of honey, with a smoky undercurrent. Herbal hoppy finish, some spicy clove, lingering smoky tobacco leaves & sausage. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. It's not Schlenkerla but it's refreshing and it paired well with German food (schnitzel + spätzle + cream sauce).

Light brown colour with solid head. Aroma is nicely smokey. Flavour has a decent malt flavour to balance it out well
