Bier verbindet.

(swing top bottle, 33cl) Clear, dark amber colour with a short and slightly tanned foamy head. Moderately smoked malty aroma with notes of beechwood smoked ham, caramel and a subtle fruity touch of ripe pears. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Mildly smoke-malty taste with notes of caramel, fruity accents and just a whiff of nherbal hoppy spice; a tad sweet and mildly smoky finish with subtle fruity notes. Nice one. 22.II.15

0,33 l bottle with a decent label art work. Big big thank you to kappldav123 for that bottle. Pours out in a light copper, creamy white head. Low smoky on the nose. Starts smooth with a big load of smoke but not scratchy or burned ham. Malty in the second row. May be due to the smoke hidden alcohol. Long finish. Really nice one!

Malzig-fruchtiger Antrunk. Leichte Rauchnoten auf fruchtig-malzigem Körper. Leicht floral Töne, Pflaumen, Kirschen, leicht rauchige Töne. Malzig-süß fruchtiger Nachklang mit rauchig-feinherber Note.

330ml bottle. Crystal clear, orangey golden to amber colour with small, frothy, diminishing, white head. Smoky aroma on caramel malty basis, notes of smoked eel. Taste is initially moderately sweet caramel malty, minimally smoky, citrusy hoppy overtones with hints of mandarine and orange, later stronger smoky with hints of peat and a touch of TCP. Not fully harmonious, somehow too clean (fantastic colour, though).

Steinie-Bügelverschlußflasche: Clear, deep golden, small but stable off-white head; moderate to solid aromas of wood-fire and caramel in the sweet nose, accompanied by a fruity and hoppy background;moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and nearly soft; finishes first sweet caramelly, but gets far drier and hoppier in the aftertaste. Good franconian quality, what else…

bottle- Danke! Hazy amber brown with a small, creamy off-white head. Shy smoky nose. Full-bodied, intensively malty with a shy touch of smoke, not as intensive as expected. Smooth palate. Very nice.

330 ml. swing-cap bottle @ home. Procured from Dranken Geers. BBF 02.12.2015. Pours an almost clear dark amber, hard to get a proper head on this beer, mainly just patchy white bubbles. Nose is plastic sweet smoked wood & light toffee, quite plastic in smell. Taste is plastic weird smoked bacon (or at least how I remember bacon tasting like), this also makes me think of Lapsang souchong (this is far more oily & plastic than the actual tea which I adore), there is faint toffee sweetness to this, weird plastic / herbal sweetness with a faint touch of bitter plastic fruit, plastic & super oily faint bitterness, oiliness level almost makes me think of olive oil,…. Oily body. This is just too plastic sweet tasting for its own good in my opinion. With quite a bit more malt this would have been far more proper.
