Bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a deep amber brown with a thin brown head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of alcohol with a lot of sweet grains and caramel with a hint of toffee. Flavor starts with sweet grains and caramel with a lot of alcohol and a good amount of toffee.

Bottle at Home. Purchased from Olbutikken. Red colored, pinkish head that disappears. Sweet and boozy matly aroma. Caramel, toffee, burned suger, lots of oak. Smells great. Very sweet taste, caramel, vanills, sugar, again very oaky. Alcoholic. Very oaky, boozy and extreme but weirdly enough I enjoyed it a lot.

Bottle. Very hazy dark brown/amber with tiny tan head. Aroma is malt, sweet, fruit with notes of alcohol. Flavour is malt, very sweet, hops, medium bitter, caramel, fruit, little rip fruit, toffee, spices, wood, oak and a little vanilla.

Dirty brown colour with immediately disappearing head. Very, very sweet aroma with sugar and raisins. So sweet that a fly tried to attack my glass. Flavour is very sweet with sugar and raisins. Also some oak notes near the finish. Malty and harsh finish, some warming alcohol in the aftertaste. Way too sweet for me but could work as a dessert.

Sampled from bottle. I’d love to really love this beer, but drinking this particular one was certainly not exactly what I was hoping compared to some of the ratings I’ve now read. Poured an incredibly dark golden/orange color, small off-white head. Aroma was malty, vanilla, oak. Flavor was dominated by oak barrel aging. Sweetness, alcohol burn. A sipping beverage if I ever came across one before, but certainly one I’d suggest sharing amongst friends, lest ye pass out on the couch alone - at 8pm.

Bottle. Bright amber/chestnut color, medium tan head. Aroma of strong, boozy caramel. Taste is very sweet and syrupy, with some hops that enter late. A powerful barleywine, too sweet for me.

12 oz. bottle, pours mahogany with a very quickly dissipating head, after which it looks flat. Aroma of plum, raisins, oak, caramel and a little alcohol (but less than the ABV suggests). Flavour of dark fruits, oak, caramel and alcohol, though it's quite well worked in for the 16.45% that the label denotes. Quite good, though nothing revolutionary.
