Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple. At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains - all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of xproudfoot. Hazy golden with tiny impirities and a white, lacing head. Very fruity and almost flowery. Quite full-bodied with sweetish, malty and very fruity notes - lychee and melon. Very subdued bitterness. Nice indeed. 290607

12 oz bottle...cloudy golden color...mild yeasty aroma..thin white head...thin icicle -like lacing...im getting a hint of nanas in the aroma and a little in the taste...clean finish...its just ok.

My first abbey trippel. Pours like a lght brown yellow wheat beer. Watch out! A little scary because the alky content is well hidden and its smooth. Above average carbonation for an alchohol content of this range. A teeny bitter linger on the finish.

Aromas of apple, grass, cloves, yeast, candi-sugar and a creamy sweetness. Appearance is OK, a hazy gold with a medium/small head (really small for a tripel). Flavor falls apart from what one would expect. There is a very dominant tart apple flavor that burries the other complexities. Could be much better... I may have to revisit this one later.

Bottle : Poured a shiny yellow color ale with a medium white foamy head with great retention. Aroma is quite sweet but I could not find any trace of yeast. Taste is also very candy-like sweet with a thinner body then expected. Seems like this was filtered and it is a shame because it leaves the beer a bit one-dimensional. So overall, not a bad beer but definitely lacking complexity.

Small frothy off-white head that diminishes quickly. Cloudy dark golden color. Fairly swet aroma. Flavor is light caramel with a touch of cider.

Light fruity/sweet flavor. Had forgotten that I did not enjoy Belgian Style Golden ale when I started it, but I still appreciated it as a very good drink.

I have not had this one in a while, and somehow I had remembered liking it, but based on this tasting I doubt that I would seek it out much again. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a bright orange-golden color with a very small white head that fades quickly. The aroma is sour and tangy. The mouthfeel is fairly thick and the flavor is sour and very tangy with a dry finish. Not bad, but a bit disappointing.

Good aroma with most fruit; some light spice, and alcohol. Golden ale appearance, with only a minimum of sediment. Three flavors: light fruit, malt, and alcohol. This is not as fruity or complex as the better tripels, but still good. 6/6/4/15 -----------------rarely do I rerate, but I just had this again and it was so sweet, I couldn’t drink it, and neither could the Joebrew, who shared it with me. It did have a big banana aroma, but far too much sugar.

Bottle pours a hazy golden peach color witha fizzy white head that is rather short lived. Thin spotty lacing. A musty earth aroma that has note of apricot, peach and a bit of butterscotch. Flavor is more fruity, and spicy and has a nice sour touch as well. That distinctive Belgian yeast brings the slightly musty barnyard taste but not so much as others of the style. After only the first couple ounces this is really growing on me. Finish and feel is a bit chalky, maybe I poured too much of it. No bitterness at the end. Very pleasant.
