Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple. At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains - all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned.

An unclear orange beer with a diappearing head. The aroma is of yeast and oranges. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and yeast and a dry end.

Slightly hazy amber-orange; good off-white head. Banana, bubblegum esters abundant in the nose, more than in most German Weizens! Soft sweet taste with sourish background, again completely ester, AND diacetyl. Fruity, seems not completely fermented. If this is supposed to be a triple - for chrissakes, then it ought to have been fully attenuated! Finish yields rosewater. Rather full-bodied with restsugars, well carbonated. I’m underawed. Depending on what it was supposed to be, agreed, but it is underattenuated under any circumstance.

I have said it before " if only this promising domestic brew could taste as well as it smells." Very nice promising aroma but a disappointing palate and little flavor to speak of. I must hand it to them for creating a high alcoholic beverage tthat tastes almost like water. I would nickname this the bud of tripels just a bad imitation. No head and very light.

This pours slightly hazy deep yellow color with a minimal thin white head that leaves some lacing on the side. Sweet orange in the aroma. Sweet, spicy, a little alcohol with some bitterness at the end. Not bad.

2004 bottle (pretty sure). Great pour. Transluscent, bottle conditioned, rusty orange, golden-peach. Great head that does not leave, small and white. Decent lacing and fine bubbles and yeast. Aroma is wonderful. Exceedingly clean and strong of yeast, yellow apples, candied sugar, light sweet vinegar, ripe white grape skins. Wow, what an aroma. Flavor is quite good as well, though the finish is a bit watery and stale. Starts out with lots of alcohol, and a big flavor which is very reminescent of peaches soaked in cointreau. Moderately acidic, estery, and has a good dose of alcohol. For being my favorite style of trippel (estery, alcoholic, low sweetness) this certainly goes over well with me. Wow, I really like this one. 9/5/7/4/17
2006 bottle Drunk on 12/16/06.
Head is initially quite large, but rapidly diminishes to cover. Is this still bottle conditioned? Hard to tell. Seems very clear, and this bottle had rested for some time. Light/pale gold with a hint of dry grass and bronze tints (yellow-green). Very hoppy nose and flavor, actually seems to mask a good deal of the beer. Not syrupy or too sweet, but actually, rather lean and filtered tasting. Loose carbonation and a fair amount of astringency on the end. Light alcohol warmth, tons of dry phenols and very, very dry nectarine skin esters. Banana and buttery honey notes seem rather unrefined. Love the hop flavor, but that’s about all it seems to have going for it now. Score is for the current bottle.

Effervescent, slightly hazy apricot colour with a thin, white head. Aroma of plastic, alcohol, mango, pineapple skin, rotting oranges, caramel. Body is fairly alcohol, obfuscating some of the other notes that I was hoping would carry over from the aroma (well, not all the aroma notes were desirable, but some were). Apricoty notes emerge before the alcohol gets too overbearing, alongside more plastic and a fair bit of treacly and caramelly malt. Finishes alcoholic and plasticy. I've found those kinds of flaws in Weyerbacher beers before, and it's too bad because generally I like this brewery.

Has a thin, straw-colored body with a thin white head. Has an intriguing aroma of earthy, spicy light fruit, including banana-like esters. Flavor was likewise fruity, spicy, and sweet. Alcohol is well-hidden. A very tasty Tripel, and a nice complement to Unibroue 11.

Light golden in colour, with slight hazyness. Good smell, with hints of malt and hops. Nice medium bodied beer, but the flavours arent extreme and complex. The aftertaste is normal and smooth, but not too flavourful either. A good beer to try once. Tasted on Tap at MacGregor's in Rochester, New York.

This is a rather bland tripel. Thin bodied, watery. There are some citrus/fruit notes, but the finish is a whole lot of nothing. A little spice and well masked abv make it an easy drink, but not a very interesting one.

Bottled. Clear golden, no head. Appley fruity nose. Sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and grassy, bitter finish. Sugary apples dominates. And I used to like this one...
