Harvest Ale is our celebration of the changing weather and the sowing of hops and barley that will be used in our upcoming brews. We usher in the fall with a classic English style Extra Special Bitter of the highest order. Deep ruby in color with an even deeper hop flavor… in fact, we throw fresh English hops into every brewing vessel, then dry hop after fermentation to impart a zesty kick. This beer has real hop character that mingles with fresh malted barley for an experience that will make you wish it were fall year ‘round.

355 ml.

12 oz bottle, thanks Brenn79. Pours hazy orange with a collapsing white head. Aroma is floral, grapefruit, bready malt. Taste is pretty hoppy for an ESB; tastes more like an IPA. Peachy, citrusy, bready flavors. Not too shabby.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle dated August 6, 2012 poured into a shaker. Pours clear light amber with small off-white head. Little lacing, little carbonation, and herbal hop aroma. Taste is herbal hops, some pine, and finishes slightly bitter hops. A little hop forward, but pretty dood.

Bottle. Hay and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Slightly sweet orange, barley malt and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Nice beer - more like a PA though.

Bottle. Grapefruit peel and orange hops aroma. Hazy orange with a small ivory head. Piney citrus hops and light caramel malt flavor. Medium body and carbonation. This tastes nothing like an English ESB, but presents more like a solid APA.

bottle from Bierkompass. Hazy golden colour, large off-white head. Malty, grainy, lots of delicious aromatic hops with a citrusy and slightly resiny character.

A nice, smooth combination of malt and hops. Not quite an IPA, though similar. I enjoyed it.

Lightly hazy gold beer. Tiny white head. Light and semi crisp and a little dry. Mild fresh orange segues seamlessly in to light bitterish marmalade. Minerally finish with a carbonated bite. Refreshing.

27/III/2012 - 33cl bottle from Domus Birrae (Rome) @ home - Bottled: VIII/18/11 (2012-294)

Clear deep orange beer, small creamy off-white to yellowish head, unstable, pretty adhesive. Aroma: exotic fruits, sweet peaches, little sugary. MF: little carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sweet fruity start, notes of peaches, somewhat sugary, sweet, passion fruits. Aftertaste: fruity, bitter, passion fruit, pineapple, sweet mango. So, an ESB? No effin' way. An American Pale Ale, that I would get. But this is nowhere near an English style of beer.
