Harvest Ale is our celebration of the changing weather and the sowing of hops and barley that will be used in our upcoming brews. We usher in the fall with a classic English style Extra Special Bitter of the highest order. Deep ruby in color with an even deeper hop flavor… in fact, we throw fresh English hops into every brewing vessel, then dry hop after fermentation to impart a zesty kick. This beer has real hop character that mingles with fresh malted barley for an experience that will make you wish it were fall year ‘round.

Flaske 0,355l spandert av Rune og delt hjemme hos ham 26 Jan 12. Gyldenbrun. Veldig høyt luftig skum som varer. God appelsin / fruktaroma med innslag av aprikos. Null kullsyre. Smaken i samme gate. Litt tyggegummipreg. Godt øl.

355ml bottle, 6.7% abv., picked up at Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo. A seasonal ale with a frothy, bubbly, near-white head that stays well on top of a clear amber body. Fresh hoppy nose with hints of pine. Caramel malts in the taste character mixed with diversity of fruity hops. Smooth malt-fruity tail. Easy too drink session beer (drinking session with Finn, Tromsø 26.01.2012).

35,5 cl bottle (6,7%) @ home, no BBE info found
Aroma is fruity with hops. Also some toffee and hints of hay. Flavour is sweetish with hops, fruits, toffee and hints of hay. An ESB boosted with American hops. I like this more than many British ESBs.

2011 vintage. 355ml bottle. Hop aroma brings this beer near to an (American) IPA and also its slightly higher abv compared to a typical English ESB. Nevertheless a tasty brew.

0.355l bottle. This is a clear golden-orange beer with a small bubbly and sidesticking just off-white head. Fruity and hoppy on the nose with caramel, chocolate, pine, cortex and woody hints. Quite nice actually. Surprisingly thin and watery mouthfeel. That's a bit of a downer, and the carbonation level is soft to flat. Blended flavors with first a bit alcohol, some hops, malts and a fruity sweetness that's keeping it all well balanced. A disappointing watery finish and aftertaste drags the total impression of this beer a bit down unfortunately. One of the few week beers I've had from Southern Tier. All that being rated, I had it a bit cold, still, mnjah..

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pours deep golden with a small white head. The smell of hops i released from the moment I pour it in the glass. Pretty sweet and not as hoppy as expected from the nose. Very refreshing and easy drinkable beer. Citrusy aroma, nice slightly bitter finish, but a bit short.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into an English Pint. Pours a clear amber with a half finger of white head. Strong aroma of pine hops with a slight toasty malt. Taste is medium bitter. Nice citrus and pine hop notes. Medium bodied with a thick yet oily texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, very good. I wish I would have bought a 6-pack instead of just a single.
