Bottle: Amber coloured, mid-sized, stable off-white head with a little lace; moderate caramelly and roasted malty nose with a faint illusion of coffee and dried fruits; moderate to robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet caramelly finish with a discreet fruitiness. a nice example of this style, a bit like a perfectly diluted Doppelbock..........

Test vom 4.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,6,8,6,8,7 - 6,80

Bottle, 5.5%. Roasted aroma, slightly metallic. Clear dark brown colour. Small, semi-stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted and clean. Late aftertaste, weak, but nicely roasted. Quite nice for a standard dunkel.

(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a fluffy, quite persistent foamy light-beige head. Dusty, slightly ashy malt aroma, moderately roasted. Dark-malty taste with chocolate and shy notes of caramel; medium bodied, crispy carbonation; moderately dry malty, light-bitter finish with shy notes of herbal hops. Not bad, a bit mediocre.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very pretty, clear light brown with a neat, off-white head. Nose is purely roasted malt. Medium body with loads of roasted malt and caramel. Perhaps even a lightly burned edge. Mainly sweetish with a light bitter finish. A classical and lovely Dunkel. 220106

A red-brown beer with a thin light brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of straw, but also light notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of both straw and caramel.
