Bottle from Port Street Beer House; pours clear amber with a tan head, I’ve had a few AleSmith beers and they have all been superb however this one is underwhelming may be my expectation were raised from previous brews. Taste like a good quality ESB, malty with a bitter edge, a bit more hoppier than an English ones. No better than Fullers ESB.

0.65l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew . This is a cloudy deep amber-blood-red beer, lot's of floaters and even some big sediments with a medium sized off-white top. It's caramel sweet, red fruity berries. Tons of them. In the taste it's also really on the sweet side. Soft to average on the carbonation with a mild oily mouthfeel. Also sweet in the taste, but it's quickly balanced with a light grassy and fruity bitterness. Apricot, strawberries and a peachy concentrated thing. Ends light mouthdrying and sweet. Bottle shared with (and courtasy of) Bergen tasting crew and Gunnar. Pours a pretty hazy amber colour with a small beige head. Aroma of hay, fudge, caramel, oranges, dried apricot, berries and some hops. A lot of wood in a grassy flavour, and some leather. A bit strange aftertaste. Light and slick mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. A decent aroma, but the taste didn�t follow.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a very nice amber color with a big, tan head and nice lacing. The aroma is caramel, dates, cherries, and dark chocolate. The flavor is malty sweetness, and a little sourness. The palate is light to medium, watery, and clean. Overall, this is a flavorful, interesting and malty beer. Not your average ESB.

Clear amber to red beer, big aery beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very spicy, red berried, some caramel, sweet malts, ginger, overripe fruits, little smelly. MF: ok carobn, medium body. Taste: lots of caramel, some mocha, bit of citrus, very fruity, peaches, some ripe pineapple, passion fruit, ripe mango, nice fruity bitterness, some citrus. Aftertaste: bit cheesy, spices, pretty bitter, bit floral, caramel, nice bitter ending.

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering Ulfborg, 2012. Pours amber with a small creamy head. Bread, caramel, grass and nuts. Smooth. A bit dusty.

75cl bottle. Pours dark amber, almost red with a beautiful head. The nose has ginger bread and lots of nuts including pistachio on the end. The taste has more nuts, caramel biscuits and then green nuts again. The palate has a medium body with a smooth creamy texture in the middle and quite an elegant finish. Overall, I’m not sure this is a bitter, more a brown ale and specifically an American one. Good though.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a very dark brown-red color with a medium sized foamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was nutty and malty with an odd raspberry element. The flavor was woody, nutty, malty and dry with notes of raspberry, pomegranate and tobacco. Long finish wo wood, nut and berry. Medium body. Odd but interesting.
