Anvil ESB is our interpretation of a traditional British-style pub ale. Deep amber in color, a toasty character from British malts and a touch of kettle caramelization blend seamlessly with a mild English hop profile. Its delicate balance of flavors will keep you coming back pint after pint, making it a complex creation we’re proud to call our flagship beer.

Heuartig karamelliges Ausklang. Ein rundes und gutes Bier, ganz einfach! 10/12/12/10/10/11

650ml bottle. Clear deep red glowing dark amber with huge firm frothy to creamy lacing yellowish tan head. Minimally sweet fruity aroma has notes of red currant and roast apple, some toasted malt. Smooth, soft-silk palate. Overall mild, though slightly spicy, dry and roasty taste; dry, slightly bitter roasty finish. Very nice.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a tawny, hazy orange, brown color with a huge rocky beige head. Pleasant nutty toasted malt aroma remiscent of caramel apples. Fragrant floral hops in nose as well. Tart toasted malt flavor balanced by a subtle citrus hop prescence. Some butterscotch, some bready malt character. Nice clinging lace right through to finish. Overall, a very good representation of the ESB style.
