Gronckel Blond is een goudblond ambachtelijk bier van 6,5% ABV, dat smaakt als een picknick in het Pajottenland. Rijp graan mengt zich met wilde kruiden en weerbarstig hout, gevolgd door een fruitige hopsmaak, passievrucht, abrikoos, mandarijntjes en als afsluiter een twist van citrus. Volmondig maar niettemin een heerlijk frisse dorstlesser.

Pale yellow colour with lasting fluffy head. It's very lightly flavoured but also balanced and easy to drink. Light dryness in the finish.

From bottle at In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst, Belgium, 06.10.19. Cloudy straw colour. Dense and persistent white head. Fruity aroma and taste, with pale malt, wheat, plums, grass and Belgian yeast.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally spicy-malty aroma, slightly herbal-grassy and minimally floral, hoppy overtones. Taste is dry, minimally bitter, herbal-grassy and floral hoppy, minimally sweet, pale malty wheaty and Pilsner malty basis,

Bottle split at de Grote Dorst, 09/12/18. Almost clear golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is toasted grains, airy malts, bitter sweet fruits, light breads, caramel. Taste comprises bitter sweet fruit esters, light floral trace, grains, orange peel, yeast flicker, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok easy drinker.

Bottle shared at dorst. A light hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting frorhy white head. Aroma is semi sweet pale malts, straw, some alcohol, bready grains, wheat. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, raisin, sweet grains, Warming alcohol thin grains. Palate is semi sweet, highish airy carbonation. Nice enough.

F: medium, white, average retention. C: gold, hazy, opaque. A: malty, orange peels, fruity, grapefruits, red apples peels, bit sour funky tones. T: malty backbone, vaguely orange, grassy, herbal, caramel, bit nice fruity, some sour tones, medium dry, medium body and lower carbonation, bit messy for me, partially enjoyed, sample @ 5de Winters Bier Festival in Waregem.
