Clove and lemon nose, shitty hay overtones. Cloudy amber, thick yellow head. Lemony wheat, possibly a presence of coriander. Fairly mediochre. I would have guessed it was American.

Total Wine, Chantilly 11.2oz ($2ish): Pours hazy orange with little head and some sediment. Aroma is clove and banana. Taste is very light, with just a bit of weizen going on there, but what little there is is pretty good. Nothing offensive. Lightly sweet. Mild, mild weizen. However, this is exceeedingly easy to drink in 30 second (for me Bud Light would take much longer than that...)

This beer has decent strong scent of wheat malt, bananas and a bit of clove. Very pleasant feeling. It got taste of wheat malt, some clove and bananas and a mild and short wheat malt aftertaste that got a slight bit of spiciness from the alcohol. medium body and low carbonation. Overall this beer is very pleasant surprise, it’s not top of his class but it is OK.

Clear winner in a blind tasting of 4 German brewed Hefeweizen biers held at my house last week (Sep 2008). Up against biers from Andescher, Erdinger and Schofferhofer, this bier outshone in all aspects. More orange in colour than the others, just as cloudy of course and with an equally huge head. Fantastic aroma mix of vanilla, bananas and citrus fruits (lemon and grapefruit mostly). A sharp tartness exploded in the mouth and all the above mentioned aromas could be detected in the bier once again, this time in the actual flavour. This bier had a presence, it just felt and looked right. The flavours stayed to the end of the throat and it was a joy to drink. All four participants in the tasting thought it a delight.

Bottled, 0.5l. Hazy light orange color with huge frothy white head, fizzy carbonation and yeast residue. Aroma of grains. spicy hops, yeast, banana, raisins and some detergent notes smelled, too. Sweet & sour malty taste, followed by relatively crisp mouthfeel and finished dry with mild grassy bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium body, oily texture and low carbonation. Pretty good, but tasted better few years ago...

Bottle. Pours hazy golden, with a thick creamy head. Aroma is typical Weiss, with spices and lemon, and sweet hints of fruit and honey. Average carbonation and creamy body. Flavour of light fruits, apples and grapes. Nice sour finish, followed by a sweet wheaty maltiness which after a while gets a bit to much.
